Synopsis:<\/strong> <\/strong>
<\/span>Every movement of the rock n\u2019 roll era has a gig that is its Ground Zero. <\/span><\/p>\n

The Beatles had The Cavern Club in Liverpool. The Who had The Railway Hotel in London. Springsteen had The Stone Pony in Asbury Park. New York punks had two gigs: CBGB\u2019s and Max\u2019s Kansas City. <\/span><\/p>\n

Nirvana, Soundgarden, Mother Love Bone and Alice In Chains had The Central Saloon.<\/p>\n

But, unlike all those other locations which have now disappeared or been repurposed, the birthplace of Seattle\u2019s Grunge scene, THE CENTRAL, is 129 years young, still in business and has a history that stretches long before the moment when the eyes and ears of every music fan in the world were attuned to what was happening on its stage.<\/p>\n

THE CENTRAL documentary will track down and interview every important surviving musician and ask them to share with us the crucial moments that took place within its walls as Classic-Rock waned, Hair-Metal took over, and then Grunge was born. THE CENTRAL SALOON is where Nirvana played some of its first gigs, where Soundgarden honed its sound, where Alice In Chains mesmerized its first audiences, where Mother Love Bone played and formed the bond that eventually became Pearl Jam. <\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
