Behind the Bars – Docuseries

Home     >>     Films     >>     Behind the Bars

Synopsis:
Behind The Bars is a deep dive behind the scenes of some of the most iconic and memorable moments in Hip-Hop. We take an intimate approach by allowing the stories to unfold in the words of the artists who were there – seeing them not just as idols of the industry and pop culture, but rather as real people who saw an opportunity and seized the moment.

Each episode will feature one (or more) artists telling their stories, but further enhanced by dynamic visual effects that bring their journeys to life. The format is set to feature short form stories that would play perfectly as stand-alone pieces for social media features or as a docuseries hosted on any of the streaming platforms such as Netflix, Amazon or Hulu.

This initial “season” would kick off with 90s hip-hop artist AZ and feature him as the Host MC throughout the series. As a man who lived, breathed, and worked through an integral part of the emerging hip-hop culture of the 90s and as a long-time collaborator of hip-hop icon NAS, he serves as the introduction into a world few have seen from the inside.
